Angela is one of the most unusual heroes in Mobile Legends’ support roster, built around a mechanic that lets her attach herself to an ally hero anywhere on the map and effectively pilot their movement and positioning alongside them. Rather than sticking close to one lane like most supports, she can hop between allies across the entire map, which makes her feel less like a traditional healer or peel support and more like a roaming guardian who can show up almost anywhere.

Role and playstyle

Angela is played as a roaming support, spending the laning phase attaching to whichever ally needs the most protection and helping them survive trades with shields and utility. Her defining mechanic is the ability to merge with an ally hero, becoming untargetable herself while granting that ally extra survivability and repositioning help, and she can detach and reattach to a different ally as fights develop. Her ultimate takes this further by letting her leap to an ally anywhere on the map regardless of distance, turning her into a global support who can arrive to save a teammate or enable a kill in a lane she wasn’t previously anywhere near.

Strengths

Angela’s core strength is map-wide presence: her ability to attach to and travel with any ally means she can influence fights happening far from her own position, something almost no other support can do. While merged with an ally, she’s also untargetable herself, giving her a level of personal safety that most supports lack, since she isn’t a viable target for enemies to burst down during that window even while actively contributing utility to the fight.

Weaknesses

Angela’s kit is fundamentally selfless — she contributes almost no independent damage and is entirely dependent on the ally she’s attached to actually converting the survivability and utility she provides into a won fight. If her merge target is out of position, undermanned, or simply loses the fight anyway, her presence doesn’t accomplish much beyond delaying the outcome. She’s also vulnerable in the moments she isn’t merged with anyone, since without an ally to attach to she has little in the way of personal combat power or escape tools.

Build direction

Angela’s itemization is built almost entirely around utility, cooldown reduction, and durability rather than damage, since her value comes from how often and how effectively she can merge with allies rather than from her own combat stats. Early items typically prioritize mana sustain and basic durability to survive the laning phase, moving into cooldown reduction and defensive items as the game progresses so she can cycle her merge ability and global ultimate more frequently across fights. Specific defensive stats should be adapted based on which enemy heroes pose the greatest threat to whichever carry she’s most often protecting.
