Hanzo is a ninja-themed assassin whose entire kit is built around misdirection and sudden repositioning rather than a straightforward dash-and-burst combo. He plants shadow-like markers around the map and can later warp between them, making him one of the more map-mobile assassins in Mobile Legends and a hero who rewards players who plan their movement a step ahead rather than reacting in the moment.

Role and playstyle

Hanzo is played in the jungle, farming efficiently early before looking for opportunities to pick off isolated enemies. His signature mechanic lets him leave a marker at a location and later teleport to it, giving him a way to threaten targets from unexpected angles, escape a losing fight, or rotate across the map faster than most other junglers. His ultimate is a burst tool that punishes low-health targets, making him particularly dangerous for finishing off enemies who’ve already been weakened rather than starting a fight from full health. The overall playstyle rewards patience and setup — placing markers in useful spots ahead of time so that when the moment to strike arrives, he can already be there.

Strengths

Hanzo’s map mobility is his standout trait. His ability to pre-position and then warp to that location gives him a kind of unpredictability that few other assassins have, letting him show up where the enemy least expects it and disengage just as suddenly if a fight turns bad. He’s also strong at cleaning up fights that have already gone in his team’s favor, since his execute-oriented ultimate lets him pick off weakened survivors that other heroes might not be able to finish.

Weaknesses

Hanzo’s kit depends heavily on setup, and a player who hasn’t placed markers in useful positions loses much of what makes him dangerous. He’s also relatively fragile once he’s committed to an engage, since his damage comes in bursts rather than sustained trades, meaning a fight that goes on too long or gets interrupted by crowd control can leave him exposed with no way to follow through. Against wards, vision control, or simply cautious enemies, his teleport tricks lose much of their surprise value.

Build direction

Hanzo’s itemization typically leans into physical damage and burst-oriented items that let him capitalize on the moment he appears next to a target, with some attack speed or penetration worked in depending on how tanky the enemy lineup is. Because his effectiveness depends so much on landing a clean burst window rather than sustaining damage over a long fight, defensive items are worth adding mainly to survive the brief window after he reveals himself, rather than to fight through an extended skirmish.
