Hayabusa is Mobile Legends’ signature ninja assassin, known for fighting through illusions of himself rather than committing his real body to every exchange. He’s one of the most recognizable heroes in the game’s roster, and his blend of deception and mobility makes him a favorite for players who enjoy outplaying opponents through misdirection rather than raw stats.
Role and playstyle
Hayabusa is almost exclusively a jungle assassin, farming camps early before roaming to punish squishy targets caught out of position. His kit revolves around creating shadow clones that let him strike from unexpected angles, teleport around the battlefield, and threaten multiple areas of a fight at once, which makes him unusually hard to track compared to assassins who commit to a single, predictable dash. A well-played Hayabusa uses his clones to scout, bait reactions, and reposition before delivering his real burst, turning positioning and information into as much of a weapon as his actual damage.
Strengths
His core strength is unpredictability. Because his real position can be disguised among his clones, opponents often struggle to know where to direct their crowd control or focus fire, which lets a skilled Hayabusa dive backlines and escape more safely than a hero with a single, obvious approach. His overall mobility across the map is also excellent, letting him contest fights or apply pressure in lanes far from where he was last seen.
Weaknesses
Hayabusa is mechanically demanding, and using his clones effectively takes real practice — a poorly placed clone gives away his real position instead of hiding it. He’s also a relatively weak laner early on, with a kit that comes online more through jungling and roaming than direct lane trading. Crowd control that catches him before he can commit to his mobility tools, or vision that lets the enemy team confirm his true position, both neutralize much of what makes him dangerous.
Build direction
Hayabusa’s build centers on physical damage and penetration, since his damage output depends on his skills and basic attacks connecting cleanly rather than any built-in true damage. Cooldown reduction is particularly valuable for him, since more frequent access to his clone and mobility skills directly increases both his damage windows and his safety. Early items typically support his jungle clear, transitioning into a damage-and-penetration-focused core, with defensive items only worth considering situationally against compositions with reliable crowd control that can catch him mid-engage.
