Julian is one of Mobile Legends’ more recent additions, a frost-themed skirmisher who blends assassin burst with a fighter’s ability to stay in extended fights. Wielding ice-based weaponry, he’s built for players who want a hero that can dive onto a target, chain together mobility tools, and still hold up reasonably well if the fight doesn’t end immediately. He occupies a middle ground between the glass-cannon assassins and the sturdier bruisers.

Role and playstyle

Julian is typically played in the jungle or exp lane, where his mobility and burst let him roam and look for isolated targets much like a traditional assassin, while his slightly higher durability than pure assassins lets him commit to fights other assassins would need to avoid. His kit centers on quick, chainable dashes that close distance and reposition him mid-fight, paired with abilities that apply slowing or chilling effects to lock a target down long enough to finish a combo. Unlike a pure burst assassin, Julian is built to stick to a target through a short chase rather than relying entirely on a single opening burst.

Strengths

Julian’s blend of mobility and moderate durability makes him harder to punish than a typical assassin — his chase tools let him stay on a target even if the first engagement doesn’t go perfectly, and he can survive a bit more incidental damage while doing it. His slowing and chilling effects also give him strong lockdown potential against squishier heroes who lack their own escape tools, letting him convert a single engagement into a kill more consistently than heroes who need a clean burst window.

Weaknesses

Julian’s kit still depends heavily on connecting his mobility abilities and control effects on the right target — against tankier or more mobile heroes who can shrug off or avoid his chill effects, his damage output falls off noticeably. He’s also not as durable as a true fighter, so a poorly chosen engagement against a full enemy team rather than an isolated target can still end badly for him. He rewards good target selection more than raw aggression.

Build direction

Julian’s itemization generally centers on physical damage combined with some cooldown reduction, letting him chain his mobility and control abilities more frequently. Early items typically favor sustain and mobility to support jungle clearing and early skirmishes, shifting toward burst damage as the game progresses so his combo can secure kills outright. Defensive items are worth working in situationally against enemy compositions with strong peel or crowd control that can interrupt his engage before he closes the distance.
