Lancelot is one of Mobile Legends’ longest-standing assassins and still a benchmark for what a mechanically demanding hero in the role looks like. Fighting with a sword and dagger, he’s built entirely around chaining dashes together to become briefly untouchable while closing in on a target, which makes him a favorite among players who enjoy precise, combo-heavy execution over simpler point-and-click burst.

Role and playstyle

Lancelot is almost always played in the jungle, where his early clear speed lets him snowball into ganks on the enemy’s backline carries. His signature mechanic is a chain of dashes through enemy units, each one resetting his mobility and briefly making him harder to pin down, which he weaves together with basic attacks and skills to string out a full burst combo before the enemy can react. Success with him is less about raw stats and more about sequencing — knowing which dash to use to enter a fight, which to use to escape it, and how to loop his cooldowns to stay effectively untouchable for the length of an engagement.

Strengths

Lancelot’s core strength is his ability to dive backline targets while remaining difficult to lock down mid-combo, since his dashes grant brief windows where many forms of crowd control and incoming damage don’t fully connect. This makes him excellent at picking off squishy marksmen and mages who would otherwise be protected by their team’s frontline. His mobility also gives him strong disengage once a fight goes wrong, letting a skilled player extract value and then leave rather than being forced to trade evenly.

Weaknesses

His effectiveness is tightly bound to execution. Misjudging a dash, engaging into more crowd control than his combo can dodge, or getting interrupted partway through his sequence leaves him exposed with few good options, since he lacks the raw durability of a fighter to fall back on. He also tends to fall off in impact when behind on levels and items, since his combo damage and survivability both depend on itemization catching up to his kit, making him a hero that rewards early aggression more than passive scaling.

Build direction

Lancelot’s build centers on physical damage combined with cooldown reduction and attack speed, since more frequent access to his dashes both increases his damage output and extends how long he can stay mobile and hard to hit in a fight. Early items typically prioritize sustain and clear speed to support jungling, shifting into a damage-and-cooldown-focused core once he’s ready to look for picks. Defensive items are situational and usually only worth building when the enemy has enough burst or crowd control to threaten him even through his dash windows.
