Moskov is one of Mobile Legends’ longest-standing marksmen, a spear-wielding fighter whose kit emphasizes range and piercing damage over the close, sustained auto-attacking of some other carries. He’s remained a consistently viable pick since the game’s early years, valued for a kit that lets him contribute both as a lane farmer and as a long-range threat once fights break out.
Role and playstyle
Moskov plays the standard marksman farming pattern early, using his spear’s reach to last-hit safely and control his lane from a longer distance than many other marksmen can manage. His signature tool is a long-range piercing throw that travels across a large portion of the map, letting him poke or finish off targets well outside typical marksman engagement range. His basic attacks also pierce through the first enemy hit, giving him natural value in lanes or fights where enemies are lined up, and his ultimate reinforces his identity as a marksman who threatens from far outside a normal fight rather than only dealing damage once he’s already engaged.
Strengths
Moskov’s range is his defining advantage — his long-distance poke and piercing throw let him contribute damage and finish off fleeing enemies from a safer distance than most marksmen can manage, reducing his exposure to dive attempts. His basic attack pierce also gives him solid value against grouped enemies without needing to reposition, letting him deal relevant damage even when he isn’t the primary focus of a fight.
Weaknesses
Moskov’s damage, while consistent, is generally considered less explosive than marksmen with strong burst or scaling mechanics, meaning fights can take longer for him to close out if his team can’t back up his output with additional damage. He also still shares the standard marksman fragility once caught in melee range, and his kit doesn’t offer much in the way of a hard escape tool, making positioning and peel from teammates especially important for him.
Build direction
Moskov’s itemization follows the standard marksman path — early attack speed and sustain items to farm safely, building into a mix of physical damage, attack speed, and critical strike as the core of his late-game build. Because his ultimate rewards positioning at range, items that support survivability from a distance are often prioritized over pure aggression, and defensive items should be adapted based on which enemy heroes are most likely to close the distance on him.
