Nolan is one of Mobile Legends’ more recent additions, an assassin built around a scholarly, otherworldly theme — a character whose soul has been split across dimensions, giving his kit a mobility-driven identity distinct from more straightforward burst assassins. He’s aimed at players who like an assassin defined by repositioning and unpredictability as much as raw damage.
Role and playstyle
Nolan is played in the jungle, in the classic assassin mold of clearing camps early and looking for opportunities to eliminate isolated enemy heroes once he has enough items and levels to do so safely. What separates him from more conventional assassins is a kit built around dimension-shift style mobility — abilities that let him blink, reposition, or otherwise close distance in ways that are harder to predict and track than a straightforward dash. This gives him strong pick potential against enemies who wander from their team, since his mobility tools let him engage from angles that are difficult to see coming and, ideally, disengage just as cleanly if the trade doesn’t go his way.
Strengths
Nolan’s core strength is his mobility-driven unpredictability. His dimension-shifting kit gives him more flexibility in how he approaches a target than assassins who rely on a single dash or blink, letting him adapt his angle of attack to the situation and catch out enemies who are watching for more conventional engage patterns. That same mobility also supports his safety, giving him more tools than most assassins to escape after a burst combo if the fight doesn’t fully go his way.
Weaknesses
As with most assassins, Nolan’s kit depends heavily on picking the right moment to engage — going in against a full enemy team or a target with escape and defensive tools ready can turn his own aggression against him. He’s fragile if caught without his mobility skills available, and like other high-mobility assassins, his effectiveness is closely tied to reading the map and finding genuinely isolated targets rather than forcing fights that aren’t there. Because he’s a newer hero to the roster, players are still developing a full sense of his matchups and optimal timing windows compared to more established assassins.
Build direction
Nolan’s itemization follows general assassin logic, prioritizing burst physical damage and cooldown reduction to keep his mobility and damage tools available as often as possible. Early items typically focus on jungle-clearing efficiency and some survivability to reach his power spike safely, with the build shifting toward damage-focused items once he’s consistently able to pick off isolated targets. Defensive itemization is worth adapting in reactively against teams with strong crowd control, since losing access to his mobility tools removes much of what makes him effective.
