Our method

How these listings are put togetherCara kami susun senarai

No secret sauce and no scoring algorithm to sell you. Here is exactly where the data comes from and what it can and cannot tell you.

Where the data comes from

Every shop on SeekMotor comes from public Google Maps business listings for motorcycle trades in Malaysia — repair shops, motor shops, parts stores, dealers and scooter specialists. We compile them, clean up the obvious mess (one federal territory was spelled six different ways), and group them by state, town and category.

How we rank

Google rating first, then number of reviews. That's it. A shop with 4.9★ from 800 reviews sits above one with 5.0★ from three, because three reviews tell you almost nothing. Nobody can buy a position — there is nothing to buy.

What we don't do

We don't visit shops, inspect work, verify licences, or check whether a shop is still trading today. If a listing is wrong or a shop has closed, tell us and we'll fix it.

What the data actually covers

Measured across all 10,433 listings, not estimated.

Have a phone number
80% (8,373)
Have at least one photo
98% (10,183)
Have a Google rating
73% (7,626)
Have opening hours
0%
Google reviews aggregated

That last row is why every listing tells you to call first: opening hours are simply not in the public data, so we don't pretend to know them.
